I love this article! A really common misconception is that a fascinating woman is a slave to her husband's every whim and all she ever does is try to make him happy, so if he wants her to take up tightrope walking she'll do it without a murmer of complaint. It's odd because Helen Andelin clearly states throughout the book that a doormat is not fascinating and she gives advice encouraging wives to assert themselves in some chapters. That's why doing the course is better than reading the book by yourself, if you read it alone you'll miss bits.

You're welcome, Katie, and thank you for your comment. I have known people who had candida overgrowth and rid themselves of it and felt so much better. It's so prevalent, yet so unheard of by many.

Hi again, Amy!

To adapt this situation for a husband with health problems, a wife could consider:

1. Purchasing items for the romantic situation (light bulb, drinks, etc.) and having them on hand for when her husband has a "good day" with his health.

2. Creating a romantic evening in the bedroom by having her husband rest (or if he's on bedrest for his illness) and apply romantic touches: a meal in bed, soft lighting, making sure the room is clean and fresh, candles, etc.

3. Being very careful not to imply that or behave as though the time spent should be sexual if one's husband is sexually dysfunctional as a result of his illness. If there is a sexual tone about it, it could end-up being uncomfortable for both. A couple could hold hands, put their arms around each other, and enjoy talking with each other with no thoughts of it becoming more intimately physical than that.

Sincerely,
Nikki
