FW~A (Near) Daily Encouragement: Weight Loss Success Story and Encouragement

Note: I do not participate in affiliate programs and make no money or material gain whatsoever for recommending anything, including Weight Watchers, on this blog; I encourage women to join Weight Watchers because it is a wonderful program that works.

Click here to read an inspiring testimonial from Weight Watchers titled “A Beautiful Bride” about a homemaker who lost weight and gained confidence, happiness, and a better outlook.  Losing weight really does so much more for many women than just dropping pounds.

If you have weight to lose and are currently doing nothing to lose it, why not consider joining Weight Watchers?  Mrs. Andelin suggested Weight Watchers for women needing to lose weight in her book Fascinating Womanhood, and I highly recommend it, too (and am actually an active member of Weight Watchers myself).

Weight Watchers is not a diet in which a woman has to eat certain foods, but a way to learn to eat whatever she would like (and according to her cultural and or religious beliefs if she has them, for example, if she eats kosher) in moderation and how to make healthier food choices.  There are no off-limit foods or drinks.  One can add personal recipes to the online recipe builder and get the points values (points values are given to each food so that members can stay within a given set of points for the day and week and lose weight by doing so, click here for information on the Points Plus program); this recipe builder is an outstanding tool for women who make most of their foods from scratch.

One can participate in Weight Watchers completely online and never go to a live meeting, or one can participate in Weight Watchers by going to live weekly meetings in her area, or one can do both – participate online and go to live weekly meetings, whichever works best for her.

Joining Weight Watchers online costs less than $18.00 a month, and this money can easily be saved (and more!) from the grocery bill because one is eating less, so it can cost nothing extra to join and may well even save money!

Losing weight is a very deep journey for many women, a journey in which they learn so much about themselves.  If you are overweight and working to become a total Angela Human, Weight Watchers could well be your key to success in reaching your ideals of weight, beauty, and health!

FW~A (Near) Daily Encouragement: Do Every Thing Today…

Do every thing - great and small – with not only good in mind for the day, but for the future, as well.  An example of this would be in the daily grooming and dressing of one’s toddler: bathe her, brush her hair, brush her teeth, dress in her modern, clean, nice looking clothing, put a pretty bow (age appropriate for safety) in her hair, and tell her how beautiful she is.  The toddler and her mother will feel good that she is taken well-care of today and her mother will be building her daughter’s self-confidence, as well as her own confidence in being a good mother, which will help both of them for the rest of their lives.  Things like these produce loving bonds and are the building blocks of positive relationships, which are life-long treasures that can easily span and grow for generations.

FW~A (Near) Daily Encouragment: Good Character in Parents

“The most essential quality in raising children is a strong moral character. This includes having high moral standards, being honest and fair with our fellow men, keeping our commitments and holding to our honour at all costs. Without these virtues it would be difficult to inspire them in our children. We cannot expect to impart a nobility we do not possess. When parents live honorable lives, children become aware of their parents’ virtues, notice small acts of honesty, justice or courage. From these observations will arise a growing respect for parents and a model from which to pattern.” ~ Mrs. Helen Andelin from page thirty-five of her book All About Raising Children, quoted with permission.
